1SG Rich Larson & AAP Platoon Dad Mitch Tyree have been best buds for a long time but they had never met. Mitch supported 1SG Larson throughout a difficult deployment in Iraq and as the weeks and months went by, their friendship grew. 1SG Larson met Mitch and his wife Kathy at Colonial Williamsburg this summer. Mitch was so proud to finally shake this hero's hand but he also said, "1SG Larson is one big dude and keep in mind I am 6'2" and weigh around 185... 1SG Larson makes me look like shrimp!"
